Shivani Sud (2013) is a PhD student in the History of Art Department at UC Berkeley. She received a B.A. in Art History from UCLA in 2012. Shivani studies the art and visual cultures of South Asia, with a particular focus on the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. Broadly, her areas of interest include colonial artistic cultures, Rajput painting, photography, and object and collecting histories. She is currently working on her dissertation on artists and painting practices in 19th-century Jaipur.
